DIETARY REQUIREMENTS + ALLERGIES

At baraka, we’re passionate about sharing food that nourishes and connects. With notice, we can accommodate most dietary requirements, allergies, and restrictions—just let us know at the time of booking. 

To help us prepare safely and thoughtfully:

  • Please list dietary needs for all guests at the time of booking

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for guests with anaphylaxis as a strict kitchen protocol must be followed to ensure guests are as safe as possible. 

A note on nuts:

  • Middle Eastern cuisine is naturally rich in nuts, seeds, and spices. Many of our spice blends are produced in facilities that also process nuts, so while we take every care, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.

What we can not cater for: 

  • We are unable to cater for low-fat diets, such as those required by guests managing gall bladder conditions. Our food is made with wholesome ingredients like olive oil, nuts, and seeds—essential to both our flavour and our story.

If we're not advised of dietary requirements at least 48 hours in advance and are unable to accommodate them, a $40 per person cancellation fee will apply to all guests. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

We kindly request that any cancellations or changes to your booking be made at least 24 hours in advance. For late cancellations or no-shows, a $40 per person fee will be charged to the credit card on file. If you're unable to reach us by phone, please email us at kat@slicks.net.au.

Please note, this is not a penalty, but a necessary measure to ensure we can continue offering a sustainable experience for all our guests. Preparation for your visit begins days in advance, and late cancellations can affect the hard work and planning of our team and our incredible local suppliers. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support.

KIDS 

At baraka, we welcome guests of all ages. While we don’t offer a dedicated children’s menu, little diners are welcome to join and enjoy our regular set menu for both lunch and dinner.

Due to the cosy size of our restaurant, we’re unable to accommodate prams, and we do not have highchairs available.
